We are excited to see one of our Wesley Heights townhome projects with Hopper Communities wrapping up and another making good progress in construction. Grandin Heights is a 40+ townhome project, and Uptown Heights, an 80+ townhome project. ColeJenest & Stone provided master planning, rezoning, civil engineering, and landscape architecture services on both projects, which are located in the historic district neighborhood of Wesley Heights.
Wesley Heights is the only designated historic district on the Westside of Charlotte and mere minutes from I-77 and center city. We love the walkability of Wesley Heights, no need to drive if you’re headed to Bank of America Stadium, Romare Bearden Park, BB&T Ballpark and Center City. Also within walking distance are numerous breweries and restaurants as well as Frazier Park. Frazier Park is home to a soccer and football field, courts for tennis and basketball, as well as a creek with side trails, a playground for small children, and a dog park.
ColeJenest & Stone specializes in designing all scales and densities of residential uses from multi-family mixed-use infill projects to single-family residential communities with a variety of housing types so we really enjoyed figuring out how to make the most of the space provided in the Hopper Communities projects. Grandin Heights features Craftsman-Style Townhomes with modern interiors. Parking isn’t an issue when you have a two-car, ground-floor garage. We were also able to include terraces and balconies with skyline views. Our residential specialists have developed an impressive list of planning techniques that provide our developer clients a number of advantages for understanding the market and incorporating best-practices for layout, amenities, infrastructure, wayfinding, and other important design considerations. We truly enjoyed working with Hopper Communities on these projects.
