Dudley D. Stone

Dudley joined the firm in 1995, retired as Founding Partner Emeritus in 2009 and is an active ColeJenest & Stone Board member. His interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to civil engineering combining technical rigor and finesse helped create a practice model which is now an exemplar across the southeast.

Some of his notable projects include Ballantyne Corporate Park, Coliseum Center and the award-winning US Whitewater Center.

Dudley holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and is a graduate of the U. S. Naval Civil Engineer Corps Officer School serving as a lieutenant in the Vietnam War. He is a Professional Engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Georgia.

Dudley is active in Habitat for Humanity and helped design and build several planned communities for Habitat in Charlotte. He enjoys the outdoors and has hiked sections of the Appalachian Trail.
